CHAT: Start a real conversation with AI

Overview

In this lesson, you will have an introductory real conversation with an AI assistant. You will learn how to ask questions, get help with a task, and notice what makes AI useful in an actual back-and-forth.

What You'll Do

Complete a 5-minute conversation with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity about a real task or question you actually care about.

Instructions

Go to ChatGPT (chat.openai.com) or Claude (claude.ai)
Create a free account if you don't have one
Think of something you actually need help with
Have a conversation where you ask follow-up questions.  Suggestions are below for conversation topics.
When complete, copy and paste your conversation into the submission box

CONVERSATION TOPIC EXAMPLES:
- Tell it about your favorite music artist.  Test it's knowledge of that artist.  Ask it what the most popular songs are, when the band was founded, who makes up the band.  Ask more recent information such as if they are touring this year, or if there are any rumors about whether they are working on a new album.  Ask if they have any suggestions for where you can buy merchandise for the group online.    Tell AI that you want it to create a playlist of popular songs by this band for a friend who has never listened to them.
